FORCES

Forces are measured at 10 mm of the stroke ends (at 5 mm for strokes < 50 mm )
The axial forces provided by the Gas Spring to the external system (during the extension stroke):

F1 at the close end of the extension stroke

F2 at the close beginning of the extension stroke

The axial forces to be applied to the rod in order to compress the Gas Spring (during the compression stroke):

F3 at the close beginning of the compression stroke

F4 at the close end of the compression stroke

Forces nominal value is given for an ambient temperature of 20°C

FR = friction (measured dynamically)

R = compression ratio =F2/F1

STANDARD PROTECTION

Cylinder : black colour epoxy paint

Rod : 2 alternatives are available :
- hard chrome
- nislide black (for improved resistance to corrosion)
